This is a growing collection of local resources. I am planning to add quite a few more links in the coming days and weeks. This is just the start. Resources will include local plant material for swapping/buying, including saved seeds, herb plants, surplus vegetables, also any appliances or tools for home and garden which can be shared or given away.

I believe we can all use many useful items in common, without doubling up on purchases and maintenance – and as a result develop closer links with our neighbours and community. This builds trust between people.

Solar cooker – A friend of mine has imported 50 parabolic solar cookers from India. You can find a description of cooking with one here. It is a wonderful example of a resource that can reduce our reliance on fossil fuels greatly and give us more independence.
